What brings you to therapy?
There are many reasons why you might feel that this is the moment for some therapeutic support. It could be that you are experiencing depression, anxiety, bereavement, trauma, complicated family dynamics or relationship struggles. You may be undergoing a big life change, feeling isolated, experiencing challenging thoughts and feelings or using a substance to help you cope with life.
Perhaps you’re feeling stuck, unsure what your next step in life should be, or maybe you have found yourself in a pattern of unhealthy behaviour.
Does any of this resonate with you? Whatever your reason, you have taken a brave first step by visiting this website and I hope that I may be able to support you in your therapy journey.
Whether you have previous experience of therapy, or you are new to therapy and feel uncertain about the process, I am here for you.
What to expect from me
The therapeutic relationship is the foundation of our work, and I will work collaboratively with you to create a safe space where you can unburden yourself from the thoughts and events you may feel tangled up in and together we will carve a path forward.
My aim is that you will experience me as empathic, supportive and non-judgemental, while also helping you to see your issues in a different light by providing new perspectives, using creative interventions and compassionate challenging.
I am an integrative psychotherapist, working predominantly with three theoretical modalities (psychodynamic, person-centred and cognitive-behavioural theories). If you would like to learn more about these theoretical approaches and how they are used in psychotherapy, you can read one of my blog articles.

If you like the sound of what you've read and would like to explore the idea of working together, I offer a free 20-minute phone or video consultation for you to ask me any questions. If we agree to work together, our first session will act as an assessment (where we will discuss what brings you to therapy and what your goals may be). There is no fixed number of sessions, meaning our work is open-ended, with reviews built in for you to offer feedback and for us to see how you are experiencing our work together.
